Renovação de visto americano de turismo e negócios tem queda no tempo de espera para entrevista


Queda aconteceu em todos os postos do consulado dos Estados Unidos no Brasil: São Paulo, Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre e Recife. Cerca de 100 mil pessoas esperam emissão de passaporte no Brasil Governo Federal/ Divulgação A fila de espera para a entrevista de renovação do visto americano da categoria turismo e negócios teve queda em dezembro, informou o consulado do país no Brasil. Em São Paulo, o terceiro posto que mais emite vistos no mundo para os Estados Unidos, triplicou as renovações da categoria. O período para o agendamento na capital paulista é de 35 dias, atualmente. No início de novembro, esse prazo era de 8 meses. A menor espera para o agendamento é em Brasília, com 20 dias, e a mais longa é em Recife, onde a entrevista pode demorar até 65 dias. Nos outros dois postos do país, Rio de Janeiro e Porto Alegre, o período pode ser de até 23 e 56 dias, respectivamente. Os prazos mais curtos acontecem por causa do aumento do número de funcionários nas unidades, além de inovações tecnológicas, disse nota do consulado americano. O visto de turismo e negócios é responsável por cerca de 90% das solicitações em São Paulo, sendo que quase 40% são renovações.   São considerados “renovações” vistos da categoria que venceram há até 48 meses.   O processo de renovação é mais rápido do que a solicitação de um visto novo, já que existe a possibilidade de a entrevista na embaixada ou consulado ser dispensada.
