Tripulantes da Estação Internacional retornam com sucesso à Terra

A nave Soyuz MS-16, com três tripulantes da Estação Espacial Internacional a bordo, aterrissou nesta quinta-feira (22) com êxito na estepe do Cazaquistão, segundo informou o Centro de Controle de Voos Espaciais da Rússia.

A cápsula de pouso tocou o solo às 23h54 de ontem, pelo horário Brasília, a cerca de 150 quilômetros ao sudeste da cidade cazaque de Zhezkazgan, com os astronautas russos Anatoli Ivanishin e Ivan Vagner, além do americano Christopher Cassidy.

O trio permaneceu por seis meses na plataforma orbital internacional, onde ficaram os russos Sergey Ryzhikov e Sergey Kud-Sverchkov, e a americana Kathleen Rubins, membros da missão 64 da Estação Espacial Internacional.

Na terça-feira (20), Cassidy entregou o comando da Estação Espacial para Ryzhikov.

Os tripulantes que chegaram hoje a bordo da Soyuz MS-16 encerraram assim uma missão de 196 dias, que deu 3.136 órbitas no planeta, segundo informações da Nasa.

Cassidy, que completou o terceiro voo, acumula 378 dias no espaço, o que significa ser o quinto astronauta americano com mais tempo fora da Terra. Ivanshin, por sua vez, acumula 476 dias, em três viagens, e Vagner esteve pela primeira vez fora do planeta.

Os três seriam encaminhados para o centro de recuperação de Qaragandy, no Cazaquistão, de onde o americano embarcaria para Houston, nos Estados Unidos.

Já os dois russos seriam encaminhados posteriormente para o Centro de Treinamento de Cosmonautas Gagarin, nos arredores de Moscou.

Durante o período que passaram na Estação Espacial Internacional, o trio deu boas-vindas, no fim de maio, aos americanos Bob Behnken e Doug Hurley, que chegaram na cápsula Crew Dragon, da companhia SpaceX, de propriedade do empresário Elon Musk.

Os dois foram os primeiros astronautas da Nasa a serem lançados para a Estação Espacial Internacional, a partir dos Estados Unidos a bordo de uma nave espacial americana e de um foguete desde o fim do programa de transporte, em 8 de julho de 2011.

Agora, Ryzhikov, Kud-Sverchkov e Rubins permanecerão na plataforma e presenciarão a chegada, prevista para 1º de novembro, da missão SpaceX Crew-1, que levará para a Estação Espacial Internacional os americanos Mike Hopkins, Victor Glover e Shannon Walker, além do japonês Soichi Noguchi.]
