O evento de lançamento do iPhone 12, realizado na última terça-feira (13), atraiu a atenção dos fãs dos produtos Apple e também de cibercriminosos. Segundo monitoramento realizado pela empresa de segurança digital Kaspersky, foram criados 1.950 domínios com o objetivo de  roubar o ID Apple e a senha dos usuários de produtos da marca.

De acordo com os analistas da empresa, as táticas usadas pelos criminosos para roubar esses dados variam. Entre os pretextos usados pelos sites falsos estão desde a promessa de encontrar aparelhos perdidos, à restauração do acesso às contas.

“O ressurgimento do interesse dos golpistas nos serviços da Apple mostra que eles se beneficiariam com qualquer coisa que chamasse a atenção dos usuários. O lançamento do novo iPhone foi a oportunidade perfeita para os cibercriminosos espalharem campanhas maliciosas”, afirma Tatyana Sidorina, especialista em segurança da Kaspersky.

Também foram encontrados sites de phishing que imitam os serviços de suporte da Apple para roubar contas de usuários. No entanto, os recursos não funcionavam corretamente e eram apenas um “esboço” de software. Os analistas da Kaspersky explica que golpistas costumam usar essas páginas como precaução para que, quando um recurso for bloqueado, eles possam ativar outro.

A principal recomendações para evitar ser uma vítima de um golpe pela internet é suspeitar de qualquer notícia, oferta ou promoção que seja muito generosa. Uma forma de identicar a ação de criminosos é verificar se a fonte da informação é confiável.

Outra forma de não ser expor ao risco é evitar clicar em links recebidos por e-mail, por mensagem de SMS, por aplicativos ou por redes sociais. Caso tenha clicado, vale buscar identificar se a página visitada é verdadeira. e, por último, ter um programa de antivírus instalado e atualizado em seu equipamento.
