‘Titã’ da era Steve Jobs, Phil Schiller deixa o comando de marketing da Apple Por Redação Link São Paulo, 05 (AE) - Após décadas na liderança do marketing da Apple, Phil Schiller vai deixar seu cargo na empresa: ele passará a ser um consultor na Apple, especificamente no comando da loja de aplicativos App Store e em eventos da empresa. Quem assumirá a posição de vice-presidente sênior de marketing global no lugar de Schiller será Greg Joswiak, até então diretor de marketing de produtos na companhia. “Continuarei trabalhando aqui enquanto eles me tiverem, mas também quero reservar um tempo nos próximos anos para minha família, amigos e alguns projetos pessoais com os quais me preocupo profundamente”, Schiller disse em um comunicado. O executivo trabalha na Apple desde 1987. O marketing é uma área de extrema importância dentro da Apple, que vai além da simples divulgação de produtos. A Apple afirma que o seu marketing é responsável “pelo gerenciamento e marketing de produtos da empresa, relações com desenvolvedores, pesquisa de mercado, gerenciamento de negócios, além de educação, empresas e marketing internacional”. Em comunicado nesta terça, o presidente executivo da Apple, Tim Cook, disse que “Phil ajudou a tornar a Apple a empresa que é hoje e suas contribuições são amplas, vastas e profundas”. Ele também disse que a experiência de Greg Joswiak na empresa o tornou “perfeitamente adequado a essa nova função”. A saída de Schiller do comando do marketing da Apple acontece em uma sequência de outras partidas notáveis nos últimos dois anos, incluindo o diretor de design Jony Ive, o diretor de Relações Públicas Steve Dowling e a diretora de varejo Angela Ahrendts.
