Torre Eiffel reabre ao público após lockdown por causa do coronavírus A Torre Eiffel, o monumento mais famoso de Paris, na França, e visitado por milhões de pessoas, reabriu nesta quinta-feira (25), após um fechamento de três meses devido à pandemia provocada pelo novo coronavírus. A cerimônia contou com “batucada brasileira”, informa a agência internacional de notícias France Presse (AFP). Cerca de 50 visitantes e inúmeros jornalistas aguardaram a reabertura ao pé da torre. “Queria participar desse momento de alegria. Estou quase chorando, mas é felicidade. Depois desses meses difíceis, é uma grande emoção”, diz Therese, 60 anos, que veio de Perpignan, sudeste da França, para visitar seu neto, e ele não queria perder a abertura do monumento icônico parisiense. “Vou subir devagar … e se não chegar ao topo, não importa”, acrescenta a mulher. Durante os primeiros oito dias de abertura, os visitantes só poderão chegar ao segundo andar do monumento. A subida, porém, é a pé. São 674 degraus. Tudo isso para garantir uma distância segura entre os visitantes e limitar o risco de infecção. A empresa que administra o monumento colocou marcas azuis no chão, para manter as pessoas a pelo menos 1,50m de distância entre elas. Todos, exceto crianças de até 11 anos, devem usar máscaras. Embora fechada, a Torre Eiffel continuou iluminando o céu de Paris todas as noites e também prestou homenagem aos profissionais de saúde com um grande “merci” luminoso.
