R7 insere ferramenta de áudio para inclusão social no portal

O R7 inseriu em seu portal uma nova ferramenta tecnológica de inclusão social por meio de áudio. O software que converte textos em áudio oferece ao usuário a possibilidade de ouvir as notícias. Ativando um player que aparece na parte superior do texto, a ferramenta lê a matéria com voz humanizada criada através de inteligência artificial. Não há necessidade de instalar programa ou qualquer outra ferramenta, é só apertar o play.

“A inovação irá auxiliar a pessoas com deficiência visual ou dificuldade de leitura a conhecer todo nosso conteúdo do portal. Além de expandirmos nosso conteúdo em muitas plataformas e canais, agora oferecemos mais possibilidades para milhões de brasileiros que passam a ter acesso à informação de credibilidade, principalmente em um momento tão crítico e delicado como este que estamos vivendo”, explica Claudia Caliente, Diretora Executiva Multiplataforma do portal.

A parceria tecnológica com a Audima, empresa responsável, permite que pessoas com dificuldades de visão ou leitura se apropriem das informações publicadas. “A palavra inclusão abraça mais pessoas, o áudio vai muito além do universo do deficiente visual - cerca de 35 milhões de brasileiros - e contempla também pessoas que têm outras dificuldades de leitura como um idoso ou até mesmo um analfabeto funcional - um a cada quatro brasileiros”, explica Luiz Pedroza, co-fundador da Audima.

Luiz, que integra a lista da Forbes Under 30 na categoria ‘Terceiro Setor e Empreendedorismo Social’, conta que a ideia de criar a empresa surgiu por uma necessidade da sua irmã e sócia, Paula Pedroza, que sempre aprendeu melhor ouvindo do que lendo.

“O timing desta parceria neste momento de pandemia do coronavírus surge quase como uma urgência de acesso à informação na internet, já que muitas pessoas estão conectadas na quarentena. As informações trazidas pelo R7 são utilidade pública e, aumentando seu alcance, empoderamos as pessoas”, completa Luiz.

A parceria reforça o apoio à Lei Brasileira de Inclusão da Pessoa com Deficiência (Lei nº 13.146), gerando maior integração digital e atingindo uma nova audiência que passará a ter um acesso ao conteúdo. Outras iniciativas de acessibilidade já se faziam presentes no site, como a customização do tamanho do texto e a opção de alto contraste nas páginas.
